You can get to all template files through the Pligg Admin/Template panel. Displays code and allows you to edit and save changes.
When you download a different template this should make it easy to flick between the two versions of the same file, to see if you can decipher why they're different in the code (and maybe help us work out how it all fits together!)
We will have to agree not to use this function on the live site as it won't work with any version control system we use
